New 210 m2 / 2250 f2 private residence in the Boca del Rio region of Veracruz. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and formally adapts to its curvilinear street form and boundary conditions. A continuous gap is maintained between the perimeter boundary walls and the body of the house to filter natural light, frame views and allow natural ventilation throughout. Deep slots of space around the perimeter of the house at the second floor level are used to soften the natual light for the ground floor living and dining areas. The slots, perimeter boundary walls and building form, all capture frames of the sky in various geometrical arrays. The house derives its spatial proportions and sequencing from Venetian Urbanism and Streetscape.
